INDIRE is an autonomous national institute supervised and financed by the Italian Ministry of Education. Within a broad range of national and European interests, the Institute’s main task is to provide students, teachers, scholars and decision makers with information about educational resources, projects and technologies in order to facilitate educational innovation and research and dissemination of best practice. The Institute is responsible for the development of Italian school libraries/resource centres, is the Italian agency for EURYDICE, SOCRATES and ERASMUS projects and participant in a range of other European projects. The institute also provides an e-learrning platform for the in-service training of teachers of all educational levels.
