The German Institute for International
Educational Research (DIPF) is a documentation, support, advisory and
research centre with national and European interests. The
„Informationszentrum Bildung" (Centre for Information on Education),
one of five work units, has the task to collect and arrange
information relevant to education and to make it available to
educational researchers and practitioners. The unit itself comprises
following distinct work areas: the office of the German Educational
Resources (Deutscher Bildungsserver), the Information System for
Education (FIS-Bildung), the area of Information and Documentation and
the Research Library (FFB) including the Teacher Library.
Among online informations services provided by the DIPF are:
Deutscher
Bildungsserver (Eduserver) , an internet portal providing access
to information on the German education system.
German
Education Portal, The German Education Portal is the internet
access point for bibliographic information and full-text resources in
the field of education. It offers access to bibliographic information
on books, journal articles and online resources for academic research.
FIS Bildung
Literaturdatenbank, a subscription database of bibliographic
references to mostly German language literature on all fields of
education
infoconnex - pedagogy-social sciences-psychology - a project aimed
at generating a full-text facility for subjects in the field of
education, social sciences and psychology.
Educational Systems International, an Internet guide on education
systems in more than 230 countries.
Education Worldwide, information on international developments in
education
