• In September we have participated on the ECER 2003 Conference in Hamburg. On the conference the evaluation and future of the project was discussed, and the database was launched. Katalin Varga made a presentation about the database concerning the topic "Managing education".
• In October a new leaflet about the project was prepared and distributed throught Hungary. It contains information about the project and the database in Hungarian.
• On several meetings and conferences the colleagues of the library announced the possibilities of the PERINE database.
• We continue the collection of the data in harmony with our own Hungarian internet resource catalogue

National and European activities

• The new electronic version of the Hungarian Education Thesaurus is available on the website of the library.
• The Portal of Hungarian Educators is live since September 2003. It contains more than 250 records of different education related internet resources from Hungary and other countries. All the records are described and indexed in Hungarian and English. This portal is a major information resource for teachers.
• The new homepage of the library is available. It contains the most important information about the activities of the institution (library, museum, center of educational media, publisher) in Hungarian and also in English. Of course there is a direct link to the PERINE website. It offers also a great variety of news.
• The library organized an international conference on the 16-17th of October about knowledge-based society and information literacy. The focus of the conference was on the role and training needs of school librarians.
